TABLE OF CONTENTS

Purpose

The Pigs Public API is used to retrieve raw data and the calculated key figures of farms that have permitted access to their data.

Companies can request credentials for the API using the form below. Once verified the company will receive credentials for the public API, at the same time the company will become available as a company that farmers can share their data with.

Data regulations require that the farmer (owner of the data) must explicitly share permission to access their data. This can be done using the https://my.agrovision.com portal.

Requesting credentials

Companies who want access can contact their local AgroVision Sales contact person, or reach out via info@agrovision.com for access.

Available data

This API can return data for the below

  • Breeding data
  • Farm identifiable information and farm setup
  • Feedstocks
  • Group/Grower data
  • Medicines and treatments
  • Individual animal movements, weighing and disorders
  • In heat groups
  • Calculated animal cycle indicators
  • Sow reproduction cycle data
  • Financial transactions
  • Retrieval of a valid access token

How can the farmer give access to their data

The farmer (owner of the data) should already have a my.agrovision.com account to share their data. If the farmer does not have a my.agrovision.com account, information on how to set that up can be found here.

To give access the farmer (owner of the data) should navigate to the permissions screen and click the plus(+) icon

Select the "AgroVision data exchange" application

Select your company

Select the required permissions and select Save.

The saved permissions will then be visible on the permissions page and can be changed at any time.
